Apulo La Estacion

This project is a conversation between the history of Apulo and the needs of a growing community. At its heart sits an antique train station, once a place of passing through, now reimagined as a vibrant social hub. We designed the master plan to wrap modern, affordable housing around this historic landmark, creating a neighborhood that feels both established and new.

The design is defined by a clear balance: the original station stands as a solid, permanent reminder of the town’s heritage, while the new residential spaces are open, airy, and built for connection. During the day, the central plaza becomes a "living room" for the residents—a place where the town’s past meets the energy of its future. By centering the community around this shared landmark, the project offers more than just a place to live; it offers a sense of belonging and a grounded identity.
